It’s not the first time a voice actor, idol, or Japanese entertainer has had the first pitch during a baseball game. Though the Saitama Seibu Lions are the most well known for getting popular voice actors to throw the first ball, including Aya Hirano, who voiced Konata Izumi from Lucky Star (which was set in Saitama) and the female voice actors from Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day.
While the combined might of two Love Live! groups wasn’t enough for a home run, the fans and – most importantly – the duo, seemed to enjoy themselves.

This baseball season has seen anime and baseball have many crossovers, with the inter-school championship having two different cheer squads, over multiple days, performing songs from Sound! Euphonium and Kemono Friends. Even the L.A. Dodgers had Titan-kun from Attack on Titan throw their first pitch.
What other anime and baseball crossovers would you like to see?
