SNK announced on September 10 that the next NEOGEO retro console would be the NEOGEO Arcade Stick Pro, featuring 20 games pre-installed from the beloved fighting developer. SNK released the NEOGEO arcade systems in 1990, the home console version for rental in the same year, and for personal purchase in 1991.
SNK is known for fighting games Metal Slug, Samurai Shodown, and The King of Fighters, whose character, Terry Bogard, will be featured as the 4th DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch.
The controller/console hybrid can be played in two modes; Arcade Stick mode and console mode.
Arcade Stick mode lets you use the fighting stick as a controller for the previously released NEOGEO mini or a PC for any game.
Console mode lets you hook up the controller directly into the TV via an HDMI port on the joystick. You can even attach other Arcade Stick Pros or NEOGEO mini PAD controllers to show your fighting prowess. The controller will also let you rearrange the button layout to your preferences.

No date has been announced for the retro console/controller, nor has the list of games that will be available on the system, but we’re excited to get our fight on and practice classic fighting games for the next EVO!
