Can you brave a haunted house full of zombie idols? You’ll have your chance starting next month in Tokyo!
A new interactive ZOMBIE LAND SAGA exhibition is set to run at the Tokyo Anime Center, presenting itself as an “episode 12.5” and featuring a script by series writer Shigeru Murakoshi. One month after Franchouchou’s explosive live show at Arpino, cops are descending on their house due to—what else—reports of zombie sightings in the area. To hide their trail, genius manager Kotaro has the girls set up a Franchouchou-themed zombie house, with each girl appearing as a zombie tour guide. Needless to say, their “makeup” is perfect.
You’ll have the opportunity to tour the exhibition with one of three duos as your audio guides: Sakura and Saki, Ai and Junko, or Yugiri and Lily. (Don’t worry: Tae is in all of them.) The event space will feature production material from the series and a room dedicated to each member of the totally-not-zombie idol group.
Plus, the voice guides will give you hints to help you finish the exhibition’s stamp rally… in which you collect up the scattered pieces of Tae Yamada’s body.
Visitors will get one random postcard featuring a member of Franchouchou in her “spooky” haunted house makeover, along with her date of death. There will also, of course, be goods like clear files, acrylic stands, and (apparently) room sprays.
The exhibition is set to run from September 20 to October 27. Admission is 1,500 yen per person, with tax and choice of one voice guide included.
